Mrs. Geraldine J. Shambaugh of 3006 Williamsburg received awards from Capt. D. J. Deka (left) made posthumously to her son, Pfc. Gregory Shambaugh, who died in action in Vietnam in March. They include the Bronze Star Medal, the Purple Heart and the Good Conduct Medal. During his service Pfc. Shambaugh had been awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Ribbon, Combat Infantryman Badge, Parachutist Badge and several sharpshooter badges. He left a widow, Mrs. Camilla S. Shambaugh, and father, Robert Shambaugh of Toledo.

Canadian Model Plane Champion: Erwin Wallaker, 17, displays a model plane of the type he flew Saturday in the Canadian National Championship contest in Toronto. The local youth won first place in the senior division of the Class B event. His winning model, which was not recovered, flew 16 minutes and 45 seconds before disappearing from sight completely.
