PREP GRID CAREER NEARING END: One of the several seniors on Ann Arbor High's unbeaten football team, lanky John Cartwright, an end who plays both offense and defense, has two more games of high school football. It took considerable perseverance on Cartwright's part to continue the grid sport after he received a serious back injury a year ago. Hours of special exercises went into his come-back effort. This fall he's scored a touchdown and had a helping hand in setting up several others.
