Husband and wife duo Lucky Diaz and Alisha Gaddis have been named ‘THE face of kindie music’ by the Washington Post, ‘SUPERSTARS’ by Red Tricycle, ‘The Rolling Stones of Kids Music’ by the Style Network, and PEOPLE Magazine called their album the COOLEST kids music!

The Shake Ups return to Ann Arbor for another crowd-pleasing power-pop show!

The Shake Ups play around the country at fan events and conventions, and have released three full length albums as the Shake Ups in Ponyville: "Mane Event," "Pony Power Pop," and "Rock Candy."

Their newest musical project, The Shake Ups in Beach City, takes them to the world of Steven Universe with a dozen brand-new power-pop gems punctuated by blasts of surf guitar and new wave. Bring your gems and your dance moves for a fun family concert!

Jazzy Ash invites the whole family to come along on a Crescent City-inspired jazzy music adventure!

Her songs celebrate the magic of movement, with a lot of sugar and sass thrown in, New Orleans–style. She features gypsy jazz, zydeco, swing, blues, and Dixieland to encourage kids and their grown-ups to celebrate the music of New Orleans as part of the American folk music heritage.

Kids Rock @ TOP: Secret Agent 23 Skidoo

His albums and shows are a cornucopia of creativity, mixing a wide spectrum of genres into multi-instrumental, musically sophisticated, lyrically intelligent house party classic. The core of 23 Skidooʼs music is the celebration of creativity, exploration, adventure and especially diversity. This is truly the only music that will satisfy both a 3 year old and a 13 year old, and still get the thumbs up from a 30-year-old rap aficionado. Rock out to Recess Monkey’s kid-driven indie music with an emphasis on audience participation and energetic dance opportunities! Drew, Jack, and Korum are three teachers who make kids’ music that grows out of their days in the classroom. Whether on their 12 albums or at their high-energy stage shows, their laugh-out-loud lyrics capture the essence of being young and building with LEGO, gadgets, Star Wars, paper airplanes, bunk beds, hide and seek, and other staples of kid fun.

Meet the Cirque Mechanics

Tuesday June 16, 2015: 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm -- Hill Auditorium Plaza

Join us for a Q and A with Chris Lashua, Artistic Director for the Cirque Mechanics. Learn more about this artistic troupe and their acrobats and cyclists and discover how they construct their mind blowing machines!

Founded by BMX rider, acrobat and mechanical wiz Chris Lashua,Cirque Mechanics shows are inspired by steampunk culture. Instead of a post-apocalyptic world of steam-powered machines, here the contraptions are powered by people and pedals.

This Q & A will be held at Hill Auditorium Plaza and precedes the Cirque Mechanics' 6:00 pm performance.

At 6:00 pm, Ann Arbor Summer Festival will present the large-scale performance of Cirque Mechanics: The Gantry Bike at Hill Auditorium Plaza. Get a glimpse of this amazing troupe before they take the Summer Fest stage!

Hip Hop Music & Movement with the Alphabet Rockers!

This event is intended for grades K - 5

Kids, come learn the foundations of hip hop with Northern California’s Alphabet Rockers! The San Francisco Bay Area's "premiere hip hop collective for families” [KPFA] and “Kids Music Icon” will lead kids and families through easy-to-learn games and activities that explore dance, singing, rhyming and beatboxing in this incredible arts workshop. No experience necessary - just bring your dancing shoes, your hip hop swagger, and your imagination!

This Hip Hop Music & Movement workshop will be led by teaching artists Kaitlin McGaw and Tommy Shepherd (Alphabet Rockers), who work with thousands of children in hip hop workshops each year around the country.
